Candidasa has a nice range of hotels and resorts on offer. There are no large hotels, with most places having just a dozen rooms or less. Most of the offerings are in the mid-range, with almost nothing in the higher end. The best place I could find was Villa Sasoon. I found the Alam Asmara Dive Resort a very comfortable and centrally located base for my stay, although the "Dive Resort" part of the name is a bit misleading. Divers who want an on-site dive shop will probably want to check out the Puri Bagus Resort.
