Malaysia Maps and Guidebooks
Here are some guidebooks you may want to consider. Both Lonely Planet and Rough Guide are getting a little too thick to lug around with you, but they are very comprehensive, albeit often outdated before they are even published. In addition to outdated information, the authors of the current versions come across as a little too jaded for my taste.
We really like the Knopf guides for their extensive illustrations and light weight. We highly recommend them for first-time visitors to Malaysia. They generally cover all the major destinations, and often include some sights that the big guys leave out.
