The Malaysian currency is called the Ringgit. The Ringgit is relatively stable and currently one Ringgit is worth 0.20 USD while one USD is worth 0.86 MYR. Exchange rates will vary slightly from place to place, so shop around. We've found that bank exchanges often give a better rate than independents.

Bills come in six denominations: 100, 50, 10, 5, 2 and 1 Ringgit. One Ringgit is divisible into 100 Sen. Coins come in one Ringgit as well as 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 Sen.
