The Cheah Kongsi is in the block next to the Khoo Kongsi. The entrance is through a narrow alley off Lebuh Armenian. Although the compound is much smaller, the temple building itself is quite beautiful. It was fully restored around 2003 to 2004.
Columns topped with British-styled lion heads support a balcony with an intricate iron railing. The main building is flanked by courtyards. The entrance to these is decorated with etched black marble panels. There are various rooms around the courtyards for meetings, meals and socializing.
You're free to wander around the clan house at your leisure. There is no admission charge.
