Views of Shwesandaw Pagoda, Bagan

Shwesandaw Pagoda
Shwesandaw Pagoda, with its many surrounding pagodas and temples

A short distance from the Thatbyinnyu Temple, and on the other side of the road, is a small temple that is a good view point across the plain of Bagan and its many monuments. The most prominent feature that can be seen from here is the white chedi of the Shwesandaw Pagoda, although many other temples, pagodas and monuments can be seen from here, perhaps more than a hundred in all.

Close by the view point are several bell-shaped chedis, with the Thatbyinnyu Temple visible in the distance behind them.
