Sea World Club is just about the only option for places to stay in Maumere. The beachfront resort is located about 14 kilometers east of the center of town. The resort consists of 25 bungalows in different sizes - and, it must be said, in various states of repair. Some of the buildings are practically new, while others are almost falling down. I assume they re-build some of them every season, as revenue allows.
The resort also has its own dive shop, which is apparently one of the few still operating still operating in the Maumere area. The lobby had nice gift shop and an Internet lounge, although the access was over-priced, especially for the speed.

We had one of the beachfront houses for our stay. The room was large and in relatively good repair, with fan and air conditioning, mosquito nets on the beds, and a large porch facing the sea.
The resorts single restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are no nearby restaurants outside the hotel. We had to leave before breakfast, so I can't comment on that. We did have dinner at the hotel, since there weren't any other options. We were offered the choice of ordering ala carte or taking the buffet, but we had to make a decision when we checked in at around 3:00 in the afternoon, and so opted for the 85,000 Rupiah (5.10 USD) buffet to keep things simple. But when we arrived at the restaurant for dinner, the buffet consisted of only a half-dozen or so dishes - nothing like what you'd expect for the money. The restaurant was also 'out' of several things, like wines and even some soft drinks (this was a common occurrence all during our visit to Flores).
The staff of the hotel were, by and large, very friendly. Despite the many frustrating short-coming of the resort, you couldn't really get upset at the staff.
Hotel facilities include one restaurant and a dive shop.
Rooms feature fan, air-conditioning and mosquito nets.
Pluses: Nice, quiet, beach.
Minuses: Poorly maintained (reserve the more expensive rooms to get a newer one); expect them to be out of things outside the high season.
