Waka Shorea Resort
Here is more detailed information about the above hotel, as provided by one or more of our booking partner sites.
Waka Shorea nestles on a protective peninsula, a fifteen-minute boat ride from the main public area. Twelve bungalows and two villas uniquely designed to exist in harmony with the landscape. A natural setting restaurant and a natural swimming enclosure fringe the wide bay. A comprehensive range of activities tailored to the area, snorkeling, scuba diving including course for beginners, nature treks seeking native deer and the silver or black leaf monkey and quiet picnic on secluded deserted beaches. The style is in the same as other the Waka Resort, you are surrounded by the textures and colours of nature; dressed slate; tiles; smooth unpainted wood; soft homespun fabrics; intricately worked copper; fragrant alang-alang grass roofing; natural bamboo; rough cut stone; flowers and foliage. In the dry season - Bali winter - the flora is quite dry and the area is not green or lush but very stark and wild and quite strongly beautiful and primal (April October). In the Summer months however it rains occasionally and the area is lush and very sub-tropical (November March). Waka style and comfort in an environmentally aware eco-friendly resort.
